How to Post Images

  1. You must be a registered member in order to post.
  2. Your images must be no larger than 750 pixels wide and 500 pixels high. In addition, the images should be no more than 150k file size. Images larger than this may be unfriendly to dial-up users or users with smaller screens. theCameraClub reserves the right to amend or delete posts that exceed these sizes. Use your preferred image editing software to re-size your images. Use low-medium for JPEG quality and save without the EXIF data (Save for Web and Device in Photoshop) in order to keep the file size down.
  3. Upload your image(s) to your own Web space. Many ISPs give you Web space when you sign up. If not, consider a service like Flickr. See this post for information on how to use Flickr with these forums.
  4. You will need the URL (the address that starts with http://) of the image. This will be your website address/folder name/image name or the URL given to you by Flickr. Test this by entering it into the address bar of any browser and your image should be displayed. If it is not, then there is an error in your URL.
  5. Finally, create your post. When you are ready to insert your image, click the image icon above the text edit box (a little mountain with an orange sun) and paste in the ready-tested URL.
