Image of the Month

Gulls at Dusk, Lowestoft Beach by David Steel

If you would like your image to appear here, post your images (correctly-sized) in any of our Genre galleries and an image will be chosen each month. Maybe we can even have a poll to decide who the honour should go to - let us know.

Star What theCameraClub is about

There are several photography forums in existence. However, many of them are focussed on equipment or providing basic advice to beginners in digital techniques. theCameraClub has its emphasis on the final image and the various genres of photography that we all enjoy. Equipment isn't of major concern since good results can be produced with almost any camera - a picture will invariably be successful if you know your technique and you know your subject.

This is reflected in our forums where discussions are broken down into the popular categories and within each category there is a subsection for Technique, Critique and a Gallery. The Critique area is where you post a picture for feedback and appraisal by fellow members while the Gallery is for you to show off your work as finished pieces. Also, images from the Gallery section may be selected as our Image of the Month.

Also, importantly, we have a club section where members of 'real' camera clubs can host their private discussions and share pictures with just their own club members. Many clubs have their own web site but few have their own forums but we can set some up here which can be readily linked into a club web site. Alternatively, if your club doesn't have a web site then we can make certain sub-sections visible to the public so you will, in effect, have your own public web site without the overhead of creating and maintaining one.

If you have ideas to enhance these forums then we have a dedicated Feedback and Suggestions forum - we'd love to hear from you. In the meantime, explore what we have to offer and then sign up and make it your own forum.
